Behavior Communication Log

At Craddock, we are working hard to reinforce key behaviors that will help each child maximize their learning experience and be the best student he/she can be. We have developed a communication log so that parents can see which behaviors their child is implementing each day and which are still a challenge.

We use a number system in our classroom to help students learn to monitor and adjust their behavior throughout the day.

As you will see on the log, the goal is for each student to be a level 3, which means they are independently (or with minimal support) showing the behaviors needed to be ready to learn.

If a student is ready to learn for most of the day, but periodically requires reminders/support/reteaching in a given area, they are a level 2. Going home on a 2 is NOT a punishment. It is an opportunity to communicate an area we are working to strengthen.

Continued need for redirection and reteaching throughout the day will be shown with a level 1. We will keep working to strengthen these behaviors each day. Home support is always appreciated!

**As part of our positive behavior system, we will have a "class store" buying option every few weeks during the school year. Your child will earn one dollar for each day they are a level 2 or 3, and they will use this "cash" to shop. Ending the day on a 1 does not earn any Craddock Cash. The class store varies between selling privileges and selling small trinket type items. Your child can choose to shop or save up their Craddock Cash.

Please review the behavior chart each night and return it to your child's take home folder. A 2 or a 1 requires parent initials on the chart. Students must have their behavior chart each day in order to earn or spend their cash.
